Baghdad: The government delegation accompanying Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi on his trip to the United States has been revealed. Informed sources disclosed the composition of the team, which is set to depart for the United States tomorrow.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the delegation includes several key figures from the Iraqi government. Among them are Dr. Fuad Muhammad Hussein, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Falih Sari, Minister of Finance, and Basim Muhammad Khudair, Minister of Oil. The Minister of Electricity, Ali Saadi Wahib, and the Minister of Trade, Mustafa Nizar Jumaa, are also part of the delegation. Additionally, the group includes MPs such as Amer al-Fayez, Head of the Parliamentary Relations Committee, Harim Kamal, Head of the Parliamentary Oil Committee, and Muhammad Tamim, Member of the Iraqi Parliament.
The delegation is further strengthened by the presence of senior officials like Dr. Hamid al-Ghazi, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, and Nizar Nasser, Governor of the Central Bank. Qasim al-Aboudi, National Security Advisor, and other advisors to the Prime Minister, including Dr. Yusuf Khalaf Yusuf and Dr. Ali Karim Hussein, are also part of the team. The Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Ahmed Salim Bahjat, and Baligh Mithqal Abu Kalal, Head of the Media and Communications Commission, will accompany the Prime Minister as well.
The delegation is rounded out by Dr. Farhad Ala'a Al-Din, Foreign Relations Advisor, Ambassador Krikor Bakram Der Hakopian, Director General of the International Relations Directorate, and other advisors and ambassadors tasked with various strategic roles. Their collective expertise is expected to support the Prime Minister in his discussions and engagements in the United States.
