Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi conducted a field tour this evening in the holy city of Karbala, where he inspected the smooth flow of pilgrims and mourners participating in the commemoration of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister reviewed the provision of services and organizational arrangements for the multimillion pilgrims. During the tour, he met with a number of citizens and volunteers who were serving and assisting at the Husseini processions. He also interacted with personnel assigned to medical and service units, as well as those involved in the various activities accompanying the Arbaeen pilgrimage. The Media Office of the Prime Minister, in a statement received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA, stated, "A number of citizens who met with the Prime Minister commended the government's recent measures to combat corruption and ensure that arms remain exclusively in the hands of the state, affirming their support for these steps, wh ich strengthen security and stability, support the national economy, and reinforce Iraq's sovereignty."
