Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed that infrastructure projects are ongoing in Baghdad and the governorates. During the inauguration of Al-Nusour Square project, al-Sudani stated his commitment to attending the opening after his participation in the Doha Summit.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Nusour Square project is a unique part of 16 traffic relief projects, highlighting Baghdad as Iraq’s identity. Al-Sudani mentioned that Baghdad has been deficient in projects since the 1980s and emphasized the need to define the concept of improving the quality of life.
He indicated that the selection of traffic relief projects was based on a study and noted that the implementation at Eagles Square was unprecedented in Iraq. The Prime Minister also mentioned that there are numerous projects in each governorate, stressing that the government is working quietly and will not be swayed by discordant voices.
Furthermore, al-Sudani explained that Al-Nusour Square project is a result of collaboration between Iraq and China.
