Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed Iraq’s solidarity with the State of Qatar. Al-Sudani stated on the X website that, given the current developments in the region, he had separate communications with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During these communications, he emphasized Iraq’s support for Qatar’s sovereignty and security.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani urged caution against actions that could escalate tensions and pose threats to regional and global security, stability, and peace. His statement highlights the importance of maintaining a peaceful and secure environment in the region amidst unfolding events.
