Prime Minister Orders Urgent Funding for Infrastructure Projects in Basra’s Al-Sadiq District


BASRA: The Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, has issued a directive for the immediate allocation of funds to expedite service projects in Al-Sadiq District, located north of Basra. The directive includes plans for land settlement for new schools, the construction of a hospital, and the development of both main and secondary roads to improve connectivity between the district and the governorate.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister has instructed various ministries to swiftly implement prior decisions made by the Council of Ministers concerning Al-Sadiq District and other northern areas of the governorate. These actions are part of a broader strategy to enhance infrastructure and public services in the region, addressing longstanding needs for educational and healthcare facilities as well as transportation improvements.



The urgency of these projects reflects the government’s commitment to advancing development in Basra, a region that has seen increasing demand for improved public services and infrastructure. The directive is expected to accelerate ongoing efforts to meet the needs of the local population and support economic growth in the area.
