Moscow:Baghdad Russian President Vladimir Putin has met with Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei at the Kremlin. Rezaei, who is currently visiting Moscow, delivered a message from Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei to the Russian President.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian Broadcasting and Television Authority confirmed that Rezaei passed on the message from Khamenei. This meeting follows a telephone conversation held last Monday between Putin and Rezaei, where they discussed developments in the Middle East and various regional and international issues, particularly focusing on the West Asia region.
The diplomatic engagement occurs as Iran continues efforts to resolve its state of war with the United States. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has announced that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has authorized the government to pursue dialogue as a means to resolve the conflict with Washington.
