Qasim al-Araji Engages British Charg© d’Affaires on Iraq-UK Cooperation Prospects


Baghdad: The Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, Qasim al-Araji, received the Charg© d’Affaires of the British Embassy in Baghdad, Robin Milton, on Saturday.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting addressed prospects for coordination and joint cooperation between Iraq and the United Kingdom, and reviewed areas of bilateral partnership to enhance joint efforts to consolidate stability and develop relations between the two friendly countries.



Al-Araji affirmed the Iraqi government’s continued commitment to its approach based on balance, openness, and building constructive partnerships with brotherly and friendly nations. He emphasized full adherence to national principles and international commitments, and working to strengthen security and technical cooperation in a manner that serves Iraq’s supreme national interests.



For his part, the British Charg© d’Affaires praised the Iraqi government’s efforts in promoting security and peace, affirming the United Kingdom’s keenness to maintain effective communication and cooperation with Iraq and to continue supporting joint programs that contribute to capacity building and raising the level of coordination in various fields.
