Doha: Qatar bid farewell to the martyrs of the unprecedented Israeli attack that targeted residential buildings in Doha last Tuesday after the afternoon prayer on Thursday in the capital, Doha. The funeral was attended by the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Interior had previously stated in a statement that the funeral prayer would be held after the afternoon prayer on Thursday at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque, and the martyrs would be buried in the Mesaimeer Cemetery.

Israel targeted residential buildings in Doha on Tuesday with a missile attack, housing several members of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). However, the movement said its senior officials survived, while five of its members were killed, in addition to a member of the Qatari security forces.

Hamas stated that the martyrs were Humam, the son of the movement’s chief negotiator, Khalil al-Hayya; his office director, Jihad Labbad; and his companions, Ahmed Mamlouk, Abdullah Abdul Wahid, and Moamen Hassoun.

Corporal Badr Saad Muhammad al-Humaidi al-Dosari, a member of the Qatari Internal Security Force, was also killed in the attack.
