Istanbul: The international conference commenced in Istanbul today, focusing on Israel’s alleged genocidal crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the threats to holy sites.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the conference is being hosted at the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul, with cooperation from organizations including the European Muslim Forum, the International Al-Quds Foundation, the International Union of Muslim Scholars, the State of Palestine, and the Turkey Studies Foundation. Key figures such as Abdul Wahid Niyazov, President of the European Muslim Forum; Mahmoud al-Habbash, Chief Justice of Palestine; and Yisrael David Weiss, Rabbi of Neturei Karta International, were present.
The event also saw participation from Ali Muhyiddin al-Qaradaghi, President of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, the Grand Mufti of Palestine, along with representatives from political parties, civil society organizations, activists, and a large audience.
During the opening session, Niyazov conveyed support for Qatar following an Israeli airstrike in Doha, asserting that Israel’s actions have spread violence across the Middle East and now threaten holy sites. He called for unity and solidarity to establish a Palestinian state and urged the United Nations to oppose the targeting of holy sites. Niyazov emphasized the need for respect for the rights of the three divine religions and expressed hope for Turkish support in achieving peace and protecting Al-Aqsa Mosque.
