Al-walid: Two refrigerated trucks were seized after the customs tariff code was tampered with, causing a waste of public funds at the Al-Walid border crossing. The Al-Walid Border Crossing Directorate announced the seizure of two refrigerated trucks at a search and inspection point outside the customs zone. The trucks, loaded with chocolate, were found to have had their customs declarations altered, resulting in a loss of 10 million Iraqi dinars in customs and tax revenue.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Border Ports Authority stated in a press release: “A formal seizure report was prepared, and the two trucks were transferred to the Al-Walid Customs Police Station to be presented to the investigating judge at the Rutba Court for legal action against the violators.”
