Residents of Al-Siba Demand Local Leadership for District Director Position

Basra: Residents of Al-Siba district, south of Basra, are demanding the selection of a district director from among qualified local residents. During a protest, they emphasized that selecting an administrator from within the district would directly contribute to overcoming service and administrative obstacles, as they are the most familiar with the details of daily life and the challenges facing the region in the southern part of the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the protesters called on the Governor of Basra and the Head of the Provincial Council to make responsible decisions that respond to the aspirations of the local community. The residents believe that a local leader would be better equipped to address the nuances of the district’s needs and foster a more efficient administration.
