Sulaymaniyah: The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan has emerged victorious in the Kurdistan Regional Parliament elections held in Sulaymaniyah, securing 15 out of the 38 seats available. This outcome positions the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan as the leading political force in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the New Generation party won eight seats, making it the second-largest party in terms of seats secured in the election. The Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Islamic Union both obtained three seats each, reflecting a more modest electoral performance. Additionally, the Islamic Justice Group managed to secure two seats, rounding out the results of the election.
