Rusafa Police Arrest 3 Suspects of Drug Trafficking


Baghdad: The Rusafa Police Command arrested three suspects on Monday for drug trafficking.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Police Command indicated that a drug dealer and distributor were apprehended in the New Baghdad area. The arrests took place as part of an operation following intelligence reports about individuals suspected of selling and distributing drugs among users in the area.



The statement detailed that a specialized task force was formed from the New Baghdad Police and detachments from the 7th Rusafa Emergency Regiment, working in conjunction with other security services. This coordinated effort led to the successful capture of the suspects.



It was further revealed that crystal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were seized from the suspects. During the investigation, the individuals confessed to their involvement in transporting and distributing drugs.
