Russia Reports Elimination of 7,840 Ukrainian Soldiers and Downing of 1,497 Drones in One Week

Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that Russian forces eliminated 7,840 Ukrainian soldiers and downed 1,497 drones last week.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry reported that its forces thwarted six attempts last week to break the siege on Ukrainian armed forces units in five towns in the Kharkiv region. Additionally, there were three attempts by Ukrainian formations to regain control of the Oskol River crossing and breach the encirclement.

The statement indicated that Ukrainian forces experienced losses in armored vehicles, artillery, cars, ammunition depots, and electronic warfare equipment.

The ministry further announced that units from the "East" group continued their advance, penetrating deep into Ukrainian defenses and completing their capture of the town of Ospenivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Russia has reported its advance in eastern Ukraine in recent weeks, with its forces seizing control of several towns considered strategic. Kyiv authorities have not denied these reports and continue to call for Western support to halt the Russian advance.
