Istanbul: Russian and Ukrainian delegations will meet in Istanbul tomorrow for a new round of negotiations between the two countries. Sources in the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that the two delegations are expected to meet at Ciragan Palace in Istanbul.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had assigned a delegation headed by Defense Minister Rustam Umarov to participate in the peace negotiations, with the aim of ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. On the Russian side, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced last Wednesday that they had offered Ukraine to hold a new round of negotiations in Istanbul on June 2. Vladimir Medinsky, advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, will lead the Russian delegation.

Earlier peace negotiations took place on May 15 and 16 in Istanbul, where an agreement was reached to exchange 2,000 prisoners between the two countries. The upcoming meeting is seen as a continued effort to resolve the ongoing conflict.
