Moscow: The Russian Defense Ministry has reported a series of targeted strikes against Ukrainian assets, including the destruction of fuel tanks in the port of Chornomorsk, the downing of 453 drones, and the sinking of a cargo ship in the Black Sea.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense detailed these operations, stating that on the evening of August 18, a dry cargo ship was attacked southeast of Odessa in the Black Sea. The vessel was reportedly transporting materials and equipment intended for military use by Kyiv’s forces.
Subsequently, on August 19, Russian forces executed a strike aimed at fuel and lubricant storage tanks located in the port of Chornomorsk. These tanks were allegedly intended to supply the Ukrainian armed forces, further intensifying the ongoing conflict in the region.
In addition to these strikes, the ministry revealed the interception and destruction of 453 Ukrainian drones. This operation spanned over 23 Russian regions and included engagements over the Black Sea, highlighting the extensive reach of the conflict and the ongoing tensions between the two nations.
