Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it targeted a dry cargo ship loaded with weapons and military equipment for Ukrainian forces in the Black Sea, southeast of Odessa, using attack drones. In a statement, it said, “The ship was transporting a military shipment to Ukraine.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry added that “The strike is part of a campaign targeting Ukrainian ships and port infrastructure used by the Ukrainian military.” Recent attacks have reportedly focused on facilities for the production and storage of components for unmanned boats, patrol boat sites, cargo ships, and oil tankers in the port of Odessa and the Black Sea.

The Russian Defense Ministry’s actions appear to be part of a broader strategy aimed at disrupting Ukrainian military supply chains in the region. This operation underscores the ongoing tensions and military engagements in the area, where both sides continue to assert their strategic interests.
