Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported that its air defense forces successfully intercepted 502 Ukrainian drones across several Russian regions during the previous night.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a press release from the ministry highlighted the extent of the operation, detailing that the drones were intercepted and destroyed over the regions of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, and Oryol. The operation also extended to Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Crimea, and the Black Sea region.

The statement emphasized the effectiveness of the on-duty air defense systems in countering the aerial threat posed by the fixed-wing drones. The ministry did not provide additional details on the impact of the interceptions or any potential damage caused prior to the drones being shot down.
