Moscow: Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev asserted on Sunday that the United States lacks the authority to impose its will on other nations and should first focus on resolving its own internal issues.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Medvedev expressed his views on his Telegram channel, questioning whether the United States, at 250 years old, should be seen as a role model or an evil empire. He concluded that neither label fits but emphasized that many countries around the world agree that the United States should not make decisions on behalf of others. Medvedev insisted that the U.S. and the White House have no right to impose their will on other nations and urged them to address their own internal chaos first.
Medvedev highlighted that every country, regardless of its size, possesses the capability to solve its own issues. He also referenced a statement he made on June 4th, noting that the United States continues to invest in Ukraine's defense industry. During a visit to Chelyabinsk, Medvedev commented on U.S. Senator Rubio's remarks that Washington is aiding Ukraine and that its sanctions target Russia, not Ukraine. Medvedev interpreted this as an indication that the U.S. will persist in investing in the defense complex of Russia's adversaries, with further discussions on this matter expected within U.S. government institutions.
