Sayyid al-Hakim Supports Anti-Corruption Initiatives by Iraqi Authorities

Baghdad: The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, expressed his support on Monday for the measures taken by the judicial and executive authorities in the context of reform and the fight against corruption.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Sayyid al-Hakim stated, "I welcome the measures taken by the judicial and executive authorities as part of reform and the fight against corruption," emphasizing the significance of these efforts as a crucial step toward consolidating the rule of law, safeguarding public funds, and bolstering citizens' trust in state institutions.

He further highlighted that the success of these initiatives hinges on broad national support, devoid of any political or sectarian biases. Sayyid al-Hakim urged all political and civil society forces, along with the media, to back the reform path and anti-corruption efforts in all their manifestations. He called for the promotion of a culture of integrity and accountability, which would contribute to the creation of a strong and just state founded on the rule of law, ensuring the protection of citizens' rights and resources.
