Baghdad: Leader of the Shiite National Movement, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, affirmed on Monday that while it is honorable for Iraq to be targeted by enemy drones, it is regrettable for Iraqi territory to be targeted by drones from our brothers in Iran.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Sayyid al-Sadr emphasized in a post on X that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards must refrain from striking Iraqi territory. He expressed concern over the targeting of Iraqi officials, whether in Baghdad, Kurdistan, or any other part of what he termed “sacred Iraq.”
Sayyid Al-Sadr further reiterated his appeal, urging the Iranian Revolutionary Guards to avoid actions that could lead to gloating by Iraq’s enemies. He concluded by asking for divine intervention to protect the region from wars and safeguard Iraq from all dangers, irrespective of their origin.
