Tehran: National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani confirmed on Sunday that a temporary leadership council will be formed in accordance with the Iranian constitution. In a speech, Larijani stated, “Our response was clear, and our forces are fully prepared,” emphasizing, “We will break the hearts of America and Israel, just as our hearts broke for the Supreme Leader.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Larijani explained that “our strikes are more painful for the Americans than before,” noting that “the nation and its armed forces will defend the country’s sovereignty, and our armed forces are vigilant, and our response will be stronger than what they saw yesterday.” He added that “the people and their vigilance are extremely important at this stage,” pointing to “plans being put in place to organize the leadership according to the constitution.”

Larijani indicated that “Trump has fallen into the Israeli trap, and Israel has become his priority, not America,” noting that “Israel seeks to divide Iran and, along with America, wants to plunder the wealth of the Iranian people.” He continued, “We had to choose between surrender or resistance, and we will not forgive or tolerate any attempts to divide the country,” emphasizing, “A temporary leadership council will be formed soon, based on the Iranian constitution.”

He further stated that “we do not intend to attack our neighboring countries,” explaining that “our armed forces are well-prepared and the conditions are favorable for continuing operations.” He stated, “When American bases in the region are serving Washington’s interests, we will strike them,” noting, “We have informed Washington through the Swiss embassy that we will target its bases if it attacks us.” Larijani affirmed, “We consider American military bases in the region to be American territory.”
