Hilla: Security forces announced that a joint force arrested a woman who killed a mother and her son, a member of the border police, with a firearm in their home in Al-Shomali district, south of Hillah, on December 17, 2025.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source in the force stated, “After reviewing security camera footage and tracking the movements of citizens and witnesses, a woman was arrested. Upon her arrest, she confessed to killing a mother and her son, a member of the border police, in their home in Al-Shomali district, south of Hillah.” However, the source did not disclose the reasons or motives behind the crime.

The source added that the police transferred the accused to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
