Baghdad: The Security Media Cell-SMC on Sunday denied reports circulating about U.S. aircraft landing at Ain Al-Asad Air Base in Anbar province, saying the reports are false and not based on any official information or statements, while calling for accuracy and reliance on official sources in reporting news.

According to Iraqi News Agency, SMC head Lieutenant General Saad Maan stated in a message received that "some social media platforms and media outlets circulated reports about U.S. aircraft landing at Ain Al-Asad Air Base." He emphasized that "these reports are completely false and are not based on any official information or statements."

Maan urged media outlets and social media users to "exercise accuracy in reporting information, rely on official sources, and avoid being misled by rumors and unverified reports."
