Security Media Cell Enforces Strict Weapon Control Regulations

Baghdad:Lieutenant General Saad Maan, Head of the Security Media Cell, announced that the registration of a large number of weapons in tribal and remote areas has been completed. Carrying weapons outside the authority of the state is strictly prohibited.

According to the Iraqi News Agency, Maan stated that the coming period will see remaining factions join efforts to regulate weapons and ensure they are under state control. He emphasized the importance of having all weapons held under state authority and regulation.

The Permanent Committee for Weapons Regulation at the Ministry of Interior continues its vital and effective work, which has government support. The government has completed the registration of weapons in many tribal areas, particularly remote ones. This registration is crucial for providing security forces with an overview of the number of weapons and ensuring their regulation aligns with broader government efforts.
