Security Media Cell Reports Successful Airstrikes Against Daesh Hideout in Kirkuk


Kirkuk: The Security Media Cell announced the destruction of a Daesh terrorist hideout and the killing of those inside by F-16 fighter jets in Kirkuk province.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the cell stated that ongoing intelligence efforts have been instrumental in pursuing remnants of terrorism. Based on precise information received from the Military Intelligence Directorate, a number of terrorist elements were detected within a hideout in Wadi Zaghitoun, which falls under the Kirkuk Operations Command sector.



The statement further detailed that under the direct supervision and coordination of the Targeting Cell in the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, two airstrikes were executed by F-16 jets. These strikes successfully targeted the identified location, resulting in the complete destruction of the hideout and the elimination of all terrorist elements present.



The statement also emphasized the commitment of the armed forces to continue targeting terrorist hideouts throughout Iraq, affirming that there will be no safe haven for terrorists on Iraqi soil.
