Baghdad: The Seed Testing and Certification Department at the Ministry of Agriculture has intensified its technical oversight and monitoring activities to ensure that seeds meet approved quality and specifications as part of preparations for the upcoming agricultural season. This initiative aligns with directives from the Minister of Agriculture and Chairman of the National Seed Council, Abdul Rahim Jassim Al-Shammari, and is supervised by the department’s Director General.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, these measures are part of a comprehensive oversight plan designed to guarantee that farmers receive high-quality seeds that conform to technical standards. The goal is to improve the quality of agricultural inputs and enhance the efficiency of the production process. The department has set up specialized technical committees to monitor every stage of seed processing, from reception and purification to testing and certification compliance.
