The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah, honored the Iraqi Junior Champions team from a number of governorates who won the World Championship for Rapid Mental Arithmetic, which was held in India, stressing Parliament’s support for their energies, creativity, and skills.

The media office of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement: ‘With great pride and feelings filled with joy and pleasure, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, honored the Iraqi Junior Champions team from a number of governorates, winners of the World Championship for Rapid Mental Arithmetic, which was held in India, with the participation of 24 countries from various parts of the world.’

The statement added: “The heroes were received in his official office in Baghdad yesterday, Thursday, with the staff of the Center for Creativity Development in Iraq, and he listened to the speech of the guests who expressed their happiness and gratitude for this honor, and o
ffered thanks and praise to him.”

Abdullah stressed, according to the statement, his continued support for the energies, creativity, and skills, because these young people have distinguished talents in intelligence, mathematics, and mental arithmetic tournaments, and they must be encouraged by all means.’
