Baghdad: The Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, met with Bafel Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, at his office in Baghdad to discuss the latest political developments in the country.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by al-Khazali’s office indicated that the meeting emphasized the importance of consolidating stability and strengthening national understanding among the various political forces, in order to serve Iraq’s best interests.

Both sides stressed the need to expedite the formation of the three presidencies within the constitutional framework, prioritize dialogue and joint cooperation in addressing current challenges, and support the democratic process, thereby contributing to achieving the Iraqi people’s aspirations for security, services, and stability.
