Baghdad: Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, the Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement, emphasized the necessity for dedicated efforts by the Iraqi Parliament to ensure the success of its legislative and oversight functions. In a recent statement, Al-Khazali underscored the importance of Parliament’s role in serving the interests of the Iraqi people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Khazali conveyed his congratulations to the members of the Iraqi House of Representatives on the commencement of its sixth session. This session was marked by the election of the Speaker of Parliament and their two deputies. Al-Khazali called on the members to diligently work towards fulfilling their legislative responsibilities and oversight duties, highlighting the need to honor the trust placed in them by the Iraqi populace and to meet their legitimate aspirations.
