Baghdad: The head of the Supreme Islamic Council, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, has asserted that the political forces within the Coordination Framework possess the necessary experience and expertise to protect Iraq’s democratic process and decision-making independence.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Hamoudi’s media office released a statement following his meeting with the Australian Ambassador to Baghdad, Glenn Miles. They discussed regional developments, current Iraqi affairs, the progress in establishing remaining governmental authorities, and the Framework’s role in stabilizing the political landscape.
Sheikh Hamoudi emphasized that the experience and expertise of the Coordination Framework forces are crucial in safeguarding the constitutional democratic process and ensuring independent Iraqi decision-making. He highlighted the importance of building a stable Iraq that provides its people with a dignified life, driven by a comprehensive reform vision.
He further expressed the Framework’s commitment, through the upcoming government, to fostering balanced international relations and strengthening common interests with key global players. Sheikh Hamoudi remarked that Iraq aims to be a center of stability, peace, and partnership, rather than a participant in regional tensions.
