Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Supreme Islamic Council, recently met with a delegation from the Azm parliamentary bloc, led by MP Mahmoud al-Qaisi, to discuss the current national developments and the pressing challenges facing the country. The discussions emphasized the critical role of Parliament in supporting state reforms and combating corruption.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Hamoudi highlighted the necessity for responsible and integrated action from all authorities and political forces to overcome the challenges of this stage. He pointed out the importance of leveraging the present stability to correct the course, strengthen institutional structures, and restore the state’s prestige.

Sheikh Hamoudi further underscored Parliament’s role in consolidating the people’s power, addressing their demands, and ensuring their basic needs are met. He noted that serving citizens and protecting their rights are fundamental to the country’s stability.
