Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Supreme Islamic Council, recently held a meeting with a delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Hoshyar Zebari. The discussions focused on the latest political developments in Iraq, the challenges the country is currently facing, and the pivotal role of national forces in promoting dialogue and advancing the state-building process.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Supreme Council’s office highlighted Sheikh Hamoudi’s remarks during the meeting. He acknowledged the difficulty of the current phase and underscored the necessity for coordination among political forces and responsible stances. Sheikh Hamoudi emphasized the importance of joint efforts to establish a unified vision that will define Iraq’s political identity, chart its future course, preserve achievements, and enhance the stability of the political process.
