Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, Head of the Supreme Islamic Council, discussed with Hassan Mohammed Al-Zaman, the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Baghdad, developments in the regional arena, the challenges it faces, and the Iraqi political efforts to fulfill constitutional requirements.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his meeting with the Ambassador, Sheikh Hamoudi emphasized that “regional stability is a responsibility borne by all countries,” noting the importance of coordinating positions, joint cooperation, and supporting any diplomatic avenues to reduce tensions.
He indicated that “Iraq is proceeding with its dialogues to fulfill constitutional requirements and form a comprehensive and strong national government capable of meeting internal and external challenges,” expressing his commitment to maintaining balance in foreign relations in a way that enhances cooperation opportunities and Iraq’s pivotal role in the region as a cornerstone of its stability.
