Karbala: Sheikh Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority and the legal custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, led the prayers at the funeral of Sayyid Jaafar al-Moussawi. Sayyid Jaafar al-Moussawi, the former Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, passed away today, Wednesday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the funeral was a significant event, reflecting the importance of Sayyid Jaafar al-Moussawi’s role within the religious community and his contributions to the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. Sheikh Karbalai’s leadership in the prayers underscored the respect and esteem held for the late Secretary-General.
