Baghdad: The Social Protection Authority is taking significant steps towards developing training programs aimed at the effective implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325. This initiative was discussed in detail during a recent meeting organized by the Social Protection Authority at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was led by Atour Al-Moussawi, the Director General of the Women’s Social Protection Department and head of the sectoral team responsible for implementing the resolution. The discussions focused on proposed amendments to the training programs that are being designed in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and various international organizations.

Al-Moussawi stressed the vital importance of maintaining coordination and strengthening joint cooperation frameworks among stakeholders. This approach aligns with the Ministry’s mission as a service-oriented entity, dedicated to assisting society’s most vulnerable groups. The aim is to ensure that these segments receive the necessary protection, care, and support.

This meeting marks an ongoing effort by the Ministry to enhance the execution of Resolution 1325. By developing comprehensive programs and services, the Ministry seeks to effectively support and protect the targeted groups, thereby improving their access to essential services and addressing their fundamental needs.
