Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi has affirmed his full support for strengthening the capabilities of Iraq’s security and military forces and enhancing their performance.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Speaker’s media office released a statement detailing al-Halbousi’s visit to the Joint Operations Command headquarters. During his visit, he met with the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Qais Khalaf al-Muhammadawi, along with several officers. Al-Halbousi received a comprehensive briefing on Iraq’s current security situation amidst ongoing military operations in the region.
