Baghdad: The Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani, received the Patriarch of the Eastern Church in Iraq and the world, Mar Giorgis Younan, on Monday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting involved discussions where the Speaker listened to a comprehensive explanation about the conditions of Christians in Iraq. President Al-Mashhadani emphasized the historical harmony and mutual respect among the diverse components of the Iraqi people. He highlighted the importance of maintaining this unity and respect to safeguard the rights of all citizens.
