MOSUL: In a strategic move aimed at bolstering infrastructure resilience, Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil announced that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has granted approval for the Ministry of Water Resources to engage a global consulting firm. This firm, renowned for its expertise in dam studies and construction, will undertake a comprehensive assessment of the Badush Dam, a critical component of the Mosul Dam rehabilitation initiative.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s decision underscores the federal government’s ongoing commitment to the development and support of Nineveh Governorate. The approval is seen as a pivotal step in addressing the infrastructure challenges within the region, particularly following the recent focus on Mosul Dam, which plays a vital role in the area’s water management and flood prevention strategies.

Governor Al-Dakhil further highlighted the local government’s proactive measures to enhance infrastructure across the governorate. He revealed that a concerted campaign has been initiated, targeting the reconstruction of bridges and roads in various districts and sub-districts. This campaign is part of a broader set of reconstruction projects aimed at revitalizing Nineveh’s infrastructure, ensuring improved connectivity and economic development throughout the region.
