Kamchatka: Strong earthquakes measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale were recorded off the coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula, as reported by the Kamchatka branch of the United Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Russian Emergencies Ministry earlier reported that 16 aftershocks measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale were recorded in Kamchatka over the past 24 hours.
