Successful Implementation of Security Plan for Arba’een Pilgrimage Ensures Safety

Baghdad: Saad Maan, the head of the Security Media Cell, announced the complete success of the security plan implemented for the Arba'een pilgrimage, confirming that no security breaches were recorded during the event. The plan was meticulously designed to ensure safety while avoiding the militarization of cities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Lieutenant General Saad Maan highlighted the high-level coordination with Iran, which played a crucial role in facilitating the smooth return of pilgrims after the event. He revealed that over 226,000 officers and personnel were actively involved in executing the security plan, contributing significantly to its success.

Maan also reported on the unfortunate incidents that occurred, mentioning that 34 Iraqis and 12 foreigners lost their lives in traffic accidents. Additionally, 126 Iraqis and 145 foreigners sustained injuries during the pilgrimage period. Despite these incidents, the overall security measures ensured the event proceeded without major disruptions.
