Baghdad: The head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Yabrus Kryachev, on Sunday. During their meeting, they examined the bilateral relations between the two nations. Al-Sudani highlighted the strength of the historical ties with Russia and noted the importance of expanding cooperation in various fields, especially in economic and investment sectors, to benefit both Baghdad and Moscow.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani emphasized the need for genuine partnerships that support reconstruction efforts and sustainable development in Iraq. He pointed out that Iraq is keen on strengthening its ties with the international community, focusing on mutual respect and shared interests.

The Russian Ambassador, Yabrus Kryachev, expressed Russia’s support for Iraq’s stability and its developmental strides. He affirmed the eagerness of Russian companies to continue their involvement in Iraq’s reconstruction and infrastructure projects, highlighting the potential for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.
