The Sharjah Book Authority has announced that this year's fair will run from November 4 to 15 at Expo Centre Sharjah, bringing together a global community of readers, writers, publishers, translators, and knowledge creators.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this edition of the fair marks a milestone in its history, reinforcing its status as an annual gathering for enthusiasts of books, culture, and the publishing industry. The fair's comprehensive program includes a variety of events, such as literary and intellectual discussions, activities for children and young adults, and specialized professional development opportunities, alongside the presence of numerous publishing houses.

Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Authority's Board of Directors, highlighted the fair's role in reflecting Sharjah's enduring connection with books, which has made reading a vital part of family and youth life. For over 45 years, the fair has been a cornerstone for Arab culture, fostering dialogue with the global community.

Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, CEO of the Authority, emphasized the exhibition's alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. The fair celebrates the book as a civilizational project, providing a global platform for various stakeholders in the knowledge industry to collaborate and communicate. It has redefined the perception of book fairs, becoming a comprehensive event that highlights the global presence of Arab culture.

As the guest of honor, the Sultanate of Oman will showcase its civilizational heritage and cultural, literary, and artistic landscape. The fair's cultural and professional program features a diverse range of activities, including meetings with writers and thinkers, panel discussions, book signings, poetry evenings, workshops, and programs for children and young adults. It also includes activities targeting professionals in the publishing, translation, and library sectors, providing visitors with opportunities to purchase books, meet authors, and acquire new skills and knowledge.

The Sharjah Book Authority has opened registration for local, Arab, and international publishing houses and institutions via the exhibitors' platform. This platform facilitates the participation process by allowing publishers to manage their accounts, participation details, and required publications and materials.
