Baghdad: Advisor to the Prime Minister Alaa Talabani expressed confidence in Iraqi diplomacy, asserting its ability to transform challenges into opportunities. She highlighted Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi’s recent diplomatic visits to the United States, Iran, and Trkiye as pivotal achievements within the last 100 days.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Talabani, speaking at the eighth Baghdad Dialogue Conference, emphasized the significance of these visits, describing them as successful. She urged Iraqi components to leverage foreign relations to bolster the success of Iraqi diplomacy. Talabani also highlighted the crucial role of women in politics and their presence in international forums, emphasizing the importance of tackling environmental issues as Iraq engages in international participation to address climate challenges.

Talabani acknowledged the complexities inherited from previous regimes and clarified the government’s role in formulating foreign policy, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs responsible for its implementation. She pointed out ongoing economic and security challenges and reiterated the Prime Minister’s commitment to addressing these issues in collaboration with political blocs. She stressed that the stability of internal relations directly influences the stability of foreign policy.
