Baghdad: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI), Bilal Al-Hamdani, emphasized the importance of partnerships with professional media outlets, highlighting that regular meetings are held with journalists and media professionals to provide them with accurate economic information. During a recent dialogue session, Al-Hamdani met with journalists, media professionals, and economic experts, alongside the bank’s Vice President, Sabah Al-Saadi, to discuss the role of economic media and the significance of strengthening communication between financial institutions and media.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Hamdani praised constructive criticism and the role of a free press, stating that there is no objection to constructive criticism and underlining the importance of continuing to raise public awareness. Journalist Abbas Aboud called for supporting professional media platforms to enhance economic awareness and educate citizens. Meanwhile, journalist Naseer Al-Awam highlighted the necessity of opening the bank’s doors to the local press to foster cooperation.

The press delegation attending the session pointed out that Iraq requires more management and planning, emphasizing the importance of continuously publishing instructions and decisions due to the bank’s public trust. Journalist Adel Al-Dalfi noted that TBI’s experience represents a successful banking model, an assessment he had shared with the Prime Minister, praising the level of trust the bank enjoys.
