Hillah: A tragic incident unfolded in the Al-Hamza Al-Gharbi district, south of Hillah, where a 16-year-old girl reportedly took her own life by setting herself on fire. The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the local community.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Babil Police received a report concerning the girl’s suicide. Colonel Ammar Al-Shammari, Babil Police Media Director, confirmed that the young girl poured gasoline on herself before igniting the flames. The police have since transferred her body to the forensic medicine department for further examination.
