Nineveh: The Counter-Terrorism Service announced the arrest of a terrorist in Nineveh and a drug dealer in Dhi Qar.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the CTS revealed that its forces conducted a series of specialized operations leveraging precise intelligence across various regions of the country. During these operations, a terrorist was apprehended in the Nineveh Governorate. The individual reportedly held a military position and was involved in numerous terrorist activities targeting security forces.

Additionally, the CTS reported the capture of a drug dealer in the Dhi Qar Governorate. The operations were executed seamlessly, demonstrating the CTS’s commitment to maintaining national security.

The CTS further explained that utilizing accurate information to track remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs, an airdrop operation was conducted in the Anbar desert, north of Rutba. This operation led to the discovery and complete destruction of two hideouts containing explosive materials and an explosive belt.
