Baghdad: Lieutenant General Abdul Amir al-Shammari, Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, arrived in Najaf.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the provincial police command stated that al-Shammari will oversee the security and organizational plan for the commemoration of the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
