Baghdad, The Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, received the representative of the World Health Organization in Iraq, Dr. Ahmed Zueiten, and his accompanying delegation, today, Monday, at the ministry’s headquarters.

During the meeting, according to a statement by the ministry, they discussed enhancing prospects for joint health cooperation between the two sides, discussing the foundations for advancing the health sector in Iraq, and focusing on several aspects, the most important of which are health insurance , combating drug addiction, and the project to digitize the health system in Iraq.

For his part, the minister praised the efforts of the organization and its continuous cooperation to support many health projects, including those related to public health and its interest in developing the health sector in Iraq.
