The Minister Of Industry Discusses With The Jordanian Ambassador Ways To Enhance Joint Industrial Cooperation


Baghdad: Minister of Industry and Minerals, Khalid Battal Al-Najm, engaged in a meeting with Maher Al-Tarawneh, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the Republic of Iraq, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring avenues for cooperation in the industrial sector between Iraq and Jordan.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the ministry highlighted that discussions centered around customs duties and exemptions. This topic is being addressed by a committee specifically formed for this purpose, led by the ministry’s scientific advisor, Ammar Abdullah Hamad.



The minister instructed that further dialogues take place between the committee members and their Jordanian counterparts, with the aim of aligning on issues that support the mutual interests of both nations. He pointed out that the markets of Iraq and Jordan are complementary, which bolsters industrial and economic collaboration.



Meanwhile, the Jordanian ambassador expressed his country’s commitment to fostering cooperation and joint initiatives within the industrial sector, aligning with the goals and aspirations of both countries.
